Omnibus Motion
Omnibus motion is a pretrial motion which is used to dismiss cases in court. Omnibus motion is at its root, a motion
to dismiss. Attorney's ask for an
omnibus motion for several reasons. An omnibus motion might be asked as a method to gain time
for their client or to ask for other requests in addition to the omnibus motion in the hopes all will be granted by the court.
Omnibus motion has been used in international cases as well.
